This audit was done within the Jameel Arts Centre in Dubai, to see how it could compare to the British regulations. Comparing the space to the regulations of Parts M and B helped create a better understanding of the documents and the opportunity in which architecture has to improve to create spaces that are accessible to all. Completing this audit within another country made me more aware of how accessibility is treated differently within the built environment and that even though there are regulations there is more that could be done. At the end of the audit, there was a chance to explore the ways the building could be improved to ensure user comfort and safety.
